Metro Space Station
Metro Space Station is a cinematic VFX and compositing project that transforms an ordinary metro station into a futuristic Martian outpost. The project combines live-action cinematography with CGI astronauts, environmental extensions, and advanced compositing techniques to create the illusion of a functioning space station on Mars.
The challenge was to seamlessly integrate digital assets into real-world footage while maintaining realistic lighting, perspective, scale, and atmospheric consistency, resulting in a believable science-fiction environment that feels grounded in reality.
The project demonstrates the intersection of filmmaking, visual effects, and digital world-building, showcasing how everyday locations can be reimagined into cinematic environments through VFX.
Objectives
Cinematic World Building
Transform a familiar urban environment into a believable Martian research station through digital set extensions, environmental design, and visual storytelling.
